San Diego Law Enforcement Emerald Society

The First Responder Whiskey proudly presents The Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey Barrel Pick to support the San Diego Law Enforcement Emerald Society.

The San Diego Law Enforcement Emerald Society (SDLEES) was established in 1999 as a non-profit, multi-agency organization to foster goodwill among the numerous law enforcement agencies within the communities of San Diego. They also work to instill, preserve, and celebrate the heritage, accomplishments, and dedication of the Irish American Law Enforcement Officers, past and present, and their Gaelic culture.

The money that is raised through the sale of this whiskey will be going to the pipes and drums band. The mission of the pipe band is to honor the proud traditions of the Irish, while also paying tribute to the contributions made to American law. They participate in various law enforcement ceremonies and charitable events benefiting law enforcement agencies within San Diego County. The most solemn among these, of course, is to play for those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey is distilled and bottled in Ireland and is named after the legendary 69th Army Regiment based out of New York State. The regiment was established in 1849, and its members fought in most major conflicts from the Civil War, both World Wars, and modern conflicts in the Middle East.  The whiskey itself is triple distilled in Ireland and aged a minimum of 3 years in ex-bourbon oak before a secondary aging in a variety of casks including Single-Char casks, Double-Char casks, Oloroso Sherry casks, Rum casks, and Port casks.  The Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey donates $1 of every bottle sold back to the non-profit Sixty-Ninth Infantry Regiment Historical Trust.
