End of Watch: February 2, 2020

David Sisto was larger than life and always the life of the party to the friends and family that knew him.  With that personality in mind, The First Responder Whiskey Society chose a barrel of Old Potrero Rye Whiskey to honor him.

The whiskey was chosen with a tasting panel of 10 members from The First Responder Whiskey Society, the San Diego Scotch Club, as well as prominent bartenders and whiskey industry folks.

This rye whiskey was chosen from among a sample of 6 different barrels.  What made this barrel stand out above the rest was its “fun and funky” nature.  The flavors and nose on this barrel were outstanding and left a unique impression on everyone who tasted it.  The entire panel unanimously believed this barrel encapsulated the personality of Dave Sisto and thought he would have loved drinking this whiskey.

Proceeds from the sale of this barrel was donated to David’s family via The San Diego Police Officer’s Association.
