K9 Deputy Adam Gibson

Adam Gibson was a devoted father, K9 deputy, and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
He served honorably in the Marine Corps where he did multiple tours overseas including two tours in Afghanistan. Deputy Gibson received the Navy Achievement Medal with an Act of Valor in 2012 after he helped save the lives of two teams taking on enemy fire.
He then joined the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department where he served for 6 years as a deputy and then K9 deputy. Adam received the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Bronze Star for bravery as well as a Major Incident Ribbon in 2018 when he climbed on top of a tour bus to save a suicidal man dangling from a bridge.
Adam was 31 years old at the time of his death and survived by his wife and daughter.
